As you can see it has been awhile since I have posted anything. March has been an interesting month. I am happy to say that we had our sisters visit. Sis and Gary from New Jersey; Jean and Bill from Texas.
I say sisters because despite the fact that I don't have any, I have 4 wonderful sisters. We had a gathering with all our sisters, niece Beck and new baby Hailey. Sis and I go back over the years, we hung around together when I first met her. That was until she met Gary. They have been married going on 53 years. Isn't that wonderful... especially in the world where nothing lasts. Marriages don't last like our parents or grandparents. Thank you, Sis and Gary, for setting an example for the rest of us. Thru thick and thin, sickness and health. You are always in our thoughts and prayers. Jean and Bill is another example.. despite hard times with sickness you are strong and stand by each other no matter what. As for Donna, she has shown us strength with all the losses that she has experienced. Last but not least is Roxanne who has also suffered thru losses. Losing Dick and showing us strength and dignity. I have know Roxanne since my childhood and so glad that she is back in our lives. I am thankful that we were able to spend time with Dick. I am sorry we didn't see him very often because of his driving trucks. A lot of time away from family and home.
As for our neighbors, Jim and Elizabeth, we are very fortunate to have them living next to us. They, too, have gone thru hardships but shows us that there is a light at the end of the tunnel.
As for my wonderful husband, Bob, he has always shown us love and dedication to his family. I am most fortunate of all to have him in my life.
Thank you, everyone. Thank you for your love and support that you have shown me over the years.
Have a wonderful day and know that you are loved.
Love, Lou

Great week
What a wonderful week we had. Jean and Bill came from Texas for a visit. Jean wanted to play golf with her big brother, Bob, for his birthday. On Friday, Bob's birthday, they played golf. Came back home to company,,, Donna, Roxanne, and Becky. We all visited for a while. Beck looked wonderful... having a baby. Then we went out to Olive Garden for Bob's birthday with Jean and Bill; friends, Jim and Elizabeth; and Harvey and Diane. Had alot of laughs and singing. Then came home to more laughing and singing. At the end of the day, Bob ended up with 3 birthday cakes! Jean and Bill left the next day and got home safely. Mark, friend, took us out for breakfast on Sunday and ended the day with dinner with Jim and Elizabeth. We are truly blessed with the family and friends that we have. Spoke to Bob and Toni on Sunday and they are doing well. Busy with work. Looking forward to October when we visit them. Hope everyone is well. Have a great day. Be safe. Love to all.

Blessed
Hi, everybody.... Hope all is well with you. Today is our anniversary... 48 years with a wonderful man that I have known all my life., I am blessed. It is hard to believe that Bob and I are 2 years away from our 50th anniversary. The Lord willing we will celebrate that milestone.
We are still getting rain on and off from "Debby". It looks like it is going to be a beautiful day. All is going well with my wonderful sisters Sis and Jean. Sis is really doing great - back to work. Goes to the doctors for checkups and to keep on top of her ovarian cancer. So far so good. Jean is doing well too. I believe after today she has 10 more radiation treatments for her breast cancer and then she will be free!!!! Another exciting news is that our niece Beck is pregnant for the first time at the age of 41! We are all so happy for her and Peter. We should see them on the 4th of July.
Wishing everyone a Happy 4th of July and God bless America!
Have a great day.
Ciao

My World
It has been quite awhile since I have posted anything but alot has happened. First, I hope all the mothers had a wonderful day on Sunday. I know I did. My husband, Bob, never ceases to amaze me. He surprised me with a new IPad. I am very fortunate to have Bob in my life... he is kind, loving, and honorable. This June we will be married 48 years.
We had a wonderful breakfast with our friends, Elizabeth and Jim.
In the past couple months Bob has been replacing our windows, etc with thermal pane windows. It looks wonderful. He also replaced our storm doors. The door in the front he didn't have much of a problem but the side door was another story. When he ordered the doors he assumed the doors were the same size. Wrong! About 3 inches different. So he ended up putting in a new interior and storm door. Our neighbor, Jim, helped him. What a difference. Great job!!
As for family, everyone is doing well. Jean and Sis are hanging in there. We are blessed that they are doing well with fighting cancer. I thank God for that. My sister-in-law, Roxanne, is doing pretty good since the loss of her husband, Dick, Like she says - one day at a time. Unfortunately, I lost a dear friend last week to cancer. Her name was Heni. We went to high school (1961) together and have been friends over all these years. Bob and I were able to see her daughter, Erica, after Heni passed. After talking to Erica, we realized we had not seen her for 30 years! It seems llike yesterday.
Hopefully, some day we will be able to fight cancer and get rid of it forever. We can only dream.
Hope everyone stays well and healthy. Have a good day.

April already?
It is hard to believe that we are in April already. Today is a good friend's birthday. Unfortunately, she is battling cancer and has a long road ahead of her. I think the hardest part of getting older is more family and friends around you pass away. In our minds, we are not the age that we are. I can definitely say that about myself. I look in the mirror and see my mother. But as long as we are young in mind and heart we will go on. Enjoy your time with family and friends, do things, go places...Take heart and enjoy one day at a time. Forget yesterday, don't worry about tomorrow.

New day in paradise
Good morning. Hope all is well with everyone. Got a private lesson on blogging last night from my sister-in-law, Jean. Another beautiful day. Not sure what I will do today. I have had a desire to do pastel painting so I am going to give it a whirl. Hopefully I will recognize what I paint! Lol! Roxanne, Rick, and Stephanie may be moving soon. They saw a house they really liked. I am keeping my fingers crossed that they get it. Hopefully soon I will be able to download pictures on my blog. Keep the faith....
